Intensive Italian course
The intensive Italian course is designed for non-native speakers who want to learn the melodious, rich, and musical Italian language and devote time to their passion.
The course lasts five days and runs every morning from 9 am to 1 pm, with a short 30-minute break. The intensive morning activities are well compensated by the rest of the day, when you can enjoy your free time to discover the city of Cagliari and the beaches to practise what you have learnt during the day.
How does the intensive Italian course work?
You’ll be part of a small group of up to 10 participants, all sharing the same motivation: learning to speak Italian or improving existing language skills, even at an intermediate or advanced level.
Because this is an intensive Italian course, we use the PDL method, which helps you learn effectively while creating a relaxed, supportive, and confidence-boosting atmosphere.
How does the trainer work in PDL?
The trainer - a teacher qualified in the PDL methodology - trains and guides the group, helping participants to express themselves. Working in a group, enriched by a rich repertoire of experiential activities, allows all participants to learn Italian more easily, without constantly exerting themselves to memorise or feeling under pressure.
The beauty of the PDL method is that the effort is there, but you don't notice it: the focus is on you and how you want to express yourself. There are no textbooks or exams; instead, learning happens through the engagement with the language of each participant. From the very first session, you can speak with constant support from the trainer, and your personal interests and preferred topics shape the course content.
A mix of engaging activities creates a comfortable yet focused learning environment, helping learners overcome inhibitions and build confidence. Rather than memorizing vocabulary lists, the goal is to develop greater fluency through authentic, meaningful communication.

What results can I achieve with the intensive Italian course?
You know that extraordinary feeling of not having to wait years before you can express yourself confidently in a language other than your own? With PDL, that's exactly what happens. We place emphasis on:
- Sophisticated activities for pronunciation
- Techniques that enhance active listening
- Individual and group activities – we learn from each other and thanks to the other
- Authentic oral and written activities
- Grammar – with a communicative approach
- Vocabulary – in a contextual setting to learn them as naturally as possible
