Italian for Residents

My words, my language

Moving to Sardinia is not just a change of place, but a life choice. Those who arrive here do so out of desire: a long-dreamed-of island, a slower pace of life, more human rhythms, and the courage to put down new roots in a land still waiting to be discovered.

Yet there is one final, essential step to complete this journey: the language. Learning Italian means gaining independence, building relationships, and truly understanding the people and the place that welcome you.

This is exactly why the Italian course with Nadja was created. Language becomes a living tool, supporting your new everyday life, allowing you to choose Sardinia not just as a lovely place to stay, but as your new home.

PDL Method

An Italian course using the PDL method means learning the foreign language in a new and innovative way that accommodates individual differences in the language acquisition process. Instead of standardized learning stages, it allows each person to learn at their own pace and in their own way.

The PDL method places the learner at the center, making a traditional textbook unnecessary. From day one, you determine the content of the course. Various activities create a relaxed but intense learning atmosphere, where language barriers are broken down, and the fun of talking is in the foreground.

Shared experiences foster learning and self-confidence, as people learn from one another. It is not only about learning vocabulary, but also about communicating and interacting in the new language. You immediately begin to develop your skills.

Participants are considered in their entirety: body, emotions, and intellect. Specific techniques enable students to speak from the first day of the course and promote spontaneous, authentic communication in Italian.

Content

The content of a PDL course is not predetermined. The trainer offers a framework and exercises that promote the desire to express oneself in a foreign language and to acquire linguistic competence:

  • Relaxation exercises
  • Warm-up exercises to develop attitudes and skills that promote language acquisition
  • Pronunciation training
  • Individual expression with support
  • Conducting dialogs - content is determined by the participants
  • Group work
  • Teaching vocabulary and grammar - depending on the needs of each participant

  • Role plays
